Older Scout Program
An Exclusive Week-Long Adventure for Scouts Ages 16 & 17
Five Days. Five Adventures. One Incredible Week.
The BSR High Adventure Program gives 16 and 17-year-old Scouts an experience built specifically for them. From paddling the Grand River and spending a full day at Cedar Point to canopy adventures, natural rock climbing, and an extended ATV experience, this isn't another week of merit badges. It's an adventure.
Monday | Grand River Canoe Adventure, Service & Beaumont Expedition
9:15 AM – Depart Beaumont Scout Reservation for Grand River Livery.
Travel 6 miles down the Grand River by canoe.
Afternoon return to Beaumont Scout Reservation.
Dinner at BSR.
Evening Service Project – High Adventure participants will complete a special service project benefiting Beaumont Scout Reservation.
Participate in Troop Games: Beaumont Expedition following the service project.
Tuesday | Cedar Point
8:00 AM – Depart Beaumont Scout Reservation for Cedar Point.
10:00 AM – 9:00 PM – Full day at Cedar Point.
Lunch and dinner provided in the park.
9:00 PM – Depart Cedar Point.
Spend the night in the greater Sandusky area.
Wednesday | Common Ground Canopy Tours
Morning travel to Common Ground Canopy Tours.
Spend the day participating in team-building and canopy adventure experiences.
Activities will focus on teamwork, communication, leadership, and personal challenge.
Return to Beaumont Scout Reservation in the evening.
Thursday | Natural Rock Climbing & Fire of A'Chawi
9:15 AM – Depart Beaumont Scout Reservation.
Travel to either Logtown Quarry or Hinckley Ledges for the day's adventure.
Spend the day natural rock climbing on real rock formations.
Return to Beaumont Scout Reservation in the afternoon.
Dinner and closing camp activities.
Participate in the Closing Campfire.
Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Fire of A'Chawi.
Friday | ATV Adventure
9:15 AM – Begin the final High Adventure experience of the week.
Take on an exclusive 3-hour ATV Adventure.
Adventure takes place in Camp E at Beaumont Scout Reservation.
Return in time for lunch.
Wrap up the BSR High Adventure Week.

Limited to 14 Scouts and 3 Adults Per-Week. First Come-First Serve
Adult and Youth MUST be registered in Scouting America and MUST pass an annual Health Physical. All Participants MUST have a medical form to attend summer camp and high adventure.
Program Eligibility & Capacity
The BSR High Adventure Program is exclusively for 16 and 17-year-old Scouts and has limited capacity.
To ensure Scouts from as many units as possible have the opportunity to participate, registration is limited to a maximum of three (3) Scouts per unit.
Space is limited, and registration will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Age: 16–17 years old
Maximum: 3 Scouts per unit
Program Length: Monday–Friday
Merit Badges: None. This is a dedicated High Adventure experience.
